Quentin Tarantino has surely made a lot of very good movies, but which one of them does
he find the least impressive?
"'Death Proof' has got to be the worst movie I ever [made]," Tarantino
recently told The Hollywood Reporter.
"And for a left-handed movie, that wasn't so bad, all right? -- so if
that's the worst I ever get, I'm good. But I do think one of those
out-of-touch, old, limp, flaccid-dick movies costs you three good movies
as far as your rating is concerned."
The 2007 film was released as part of "Grindhouse," a double feature
with Robert Rodriguez's "Planet Terror." "Death Proof" didn't exactly
get savaged by critics -- it sits at a less-than-ideal but not-horrible
65 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
Tarantino also said he's eager to leave the film business before it's
too late (read: before he makes a really bad movie). The quirky
director isn't entering the race for one of Hollywood's biggest gigs
either: He "could so care less" about the new "Star Wars" films, telling
EW.com
he finds a Disney version of the franchise entirely boring.
This isn't the first time the Tarantino has said he wants to call it
quits. He's said the same to Playboy earlier this month and expressed a
desire to go out on top while doing press rounds for "Inglorious
Basterds."
