George Clooney, Paul Greengrass Team With 'Argo' Writer For New Film

George Clooney Paul Greengrass George Clooney, Paul Greengrass and Chris Terrio may team for a new film.
It looks like George Clooney has learned a little something from hanging out with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Clooney, who produced "Argo" for Affleck and made "Ocean's 11" and its sequels with Damon, is teaming up with frequent Damon collaborator Paul Greengrass and "Argo" screenwriter Chris Terrio for a new crime thriller. As Variety reports, little else is known about the project, but Clooney will produce as well.
Of course, just when this untitled film gets made is anyone's guess. Clooney is currently working on "Monuments Men," a film he co-wrote and will direct about a team of art historians who hunt lost Nazi artifacts after World War II. Clooney, Daniel Craig, Jean Dujardin, Bill Murray and Cate Blanchett are set to star.
Meanwhile, as Variety reported earlier in November, Clooney is also negotiating to star in "1952," a science-fiction project co-written by Damon Lindelof and directed by Brad Bird.
Greengrass is busy as well. As Deadline.com reported in November, his long-gestating passion project -- a film about Martin Luther King, Jr. called "Memphis" -- is on the verge of getting financing and could be his next feature. He's also busy finishing up "Captain Phillips," the Somali pirates drama starring Tom Hanks in the title role. That film is set for release on Oct. 11, 2013.
So! Keep this untitled crime drama in your head as it may happen at some point. For more on the film, head over to Variety.
