The NFL will review Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh’s kick to the groin of Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub on Monday, USA Today reported.
The played happened Thanksgiving Day in the Lions’ 34-31 loss to the Texans in overtime.
The incident comes one year after Suh stomped on Green Bay Packers lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith on Thanksgiving Day 2011 that subsequently drew a two-game suspension.
"No judgment has been made," Ray Anderson, the NFL's executive vice
president for football operations, told USA Today. "We'll go through the
process. Certainly, a player's history is factored in."
Among those reviewing the case will be league officials Merton Hanks, Joel Bussert and Ronnie Hill, according to USA Today.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Twitter that Suh could be looking
at another suspension because "in the words of one NFL executive, 'at
least as likely as not given his record.' "
