While the songstress has admitted she "doesn't care" what people think of her figure, she has addressed the subject, as revealed in an excerpt from a new, unauthorized book about her life.
"I read a comment on YouTube that I thought would upset me -- 'Test pilot for pies' -- but I've always been fine with it," she's quoted as saying in Chas Newkey-Burden's Adele: A Biography. "I would only lose weight if it affected my health or sex life, which it doesn't."
Even Lady Gaga has spoken out on the new mother's weight, noting that the singer's talent overshadows her physique.
"Adele is bigger than me, how come nobody says anything about it?" Gaga told Stylist magazine. "She's so wonderful and I think her confidence is something I have to match. She has set the bar very high for a lot of women."
